Check out the Port Townsend High School Tennis & Pickleball Courts for a fun, community vibe! Back in July 2019, the Port Townsend Pickleball Club (PTPC) turned a single tennis court into four pickleball spots with temporary nets, perfect for beginners looking to get into the game. The concrete surface is holding up okay—rated ‘Fair’ with some wear and tennis lines peeking through—but it’s still a solid place to play. You can swing by outside school hours, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekends, though no lights mean you’re done at dusk. It’s free to play, with plenty of school parking, but don’t count on restrooms since the school’s facilities are off-limits. The mild weather here makes it playable year-round, though rain might throw a curveball. No strict noise rules, but soft paddles are a nice touch. Learn more on the school’s site [here](https://www.ptschools.org/pt-high). With ADA parking, it’s an easy stop for locals in East Jefferson County to enjoy a casual game!
